The city centre and the Casco Histórico host a new edition of Noche en Negro on Saturday, October 31, with children's activities, horror passages and concerts.
Almería celebrates a new edition of Noche en Negro on Saturday, October 31, with more than thirty activities for all audiences spread across the city centre and the city's neighbourhoods. The initiative is promoted by the City Council, through the Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the Regional Government of Andalusia, the Provincial Council, Almería Centro, Ashal, Asoal and the Andalusian Centre of Photography.
What can be seen
More than a dozen venues in the Centre and the Old Town become stages for shows, workshops, music and entertainment. The programme includes children's proposals, horror passages, parades, concerts and inclusive activities.
One of the highlights will be the 25th anniversary of the Orquesta Ciudad de Almería (OCAL), which will offer two performances of «Melodías bajo cuerda» from the balconies of the Casa de las Mariposas, in Puerta de Purchena, at 18.45 and 19.45 hours. The main stage in Puerta de Purchena will host the show «Buuuh» at 20.20 hours.
Sabores de Almería and parking
Six stands with Sabores Almería products will be set up on the Paseo de Almería. The «Sabores de Almería» space will be between plaza Juan Cassinello and calle Lachambre to showcase the province's agri-food offer.
In addition, 5,000 tickets for one free hour will be handed out at Telpark car parks.
Inclusive activities
The mayor, María del Mar Vázquez, has highlighted the involvement of the Asociación Provincial de Personas Sordas de Almería (Asoal) so that everyone can take part in the activities. The deputy for Tourism, María José Herrada, also took part in the presentation of the programme.
Other Halloween events
In Vícar, the Barrio Archilla-Cañada Sebastiana celebrates its sixth horror night on Saturday, October 31, organised by the AMPA Futuro. The activities start at 18.15 hours and the horror tunnel, which this year recreates a haunted hotel, costs 3 euros. There will be hot chestnuts and buñuelos with chocolate at the Tati bakery and the traditional route of children going from house to house asking for sweets. The first session will have no sound or strobe lights so that children with autism spectrum can enjoy it.
