The Cooltural Fest project has finished in second place in the category of best strategic diversity and inclusion plan, in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) section, at the IX Diversity and Inclusion Awards. The recognition goes to Crash Music, the festival's promoter, and Fundación Music For All, according to Almería City Council.

An award with its ceremony at the Congress

The awards are promoted by Fundación Adecco and the Club de Excelencia en Sostenibilidad, under the honorary presidency of the Kings of Spain, and the ceremony was held in the Constitutional Room of the Congress of Deputies. In this ninth edition they recognise business initiatives that incorporate diversity and inclusion into their strategies. First place in the SME section went to EGA Master. The festival has the support of the Department of Culture, Education, Museums and Traditions of Almería City Council and of the Provincial Council. The councillor for Culture, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca, has stated that «Cooltural Fest has had the firm and decided support of Almería City Council since the first edition» and added that inclusion is «a goal we share from the Department of Culture, so we can only join in the congratulations for this new award».

What it means for the city

For local residents, the award changes neither procedures nor dates: it is an external recognition of the work of two organisations based in Almería. Crash Music is a music event promoter and producer based in the city, and Fundación Music For All works to promote inclusion and diversity in the field of music.
