Those who go to visit their deceased in the coming days will find the San Benito cemetery, in Vícar Pueblo, and Piedra Rodá with improvement works now practically finished. The Town Council has worked inside and outside the buildings and on the accesses to make passage easier.

An assistance worker at each cemetery

During the busiest day, the Town Council will make a municipal worker available to visitors at each of the two cemeteries to provide help to anyone who needs it. The work has included cleaning, minor masonry and gardening tasks and beautification of green areas, as well as painting walls and façades and installing more containers. The Town Council's Public Services Area staff have been in charge of this.

Traffic and security operation

The Local Police is designing a special operation for both holidays. Its aim is to keep traffic flowing, direct vehicle parking and increase the safety of those accessing the cemetery. The mayor of Vícar, Antonio Bonilla, has stated that «whenever these dates of maximum influx arrive we intensify the work so that the facilities can be in the best possible condition».

What you need to know

No procedure is required to visit the cemeteries. It is enough to go to either of the two sites, where there will be municipal staff to help and a Local Police operation to direct traffic and parking.
