The seventh edition of the Seis Horas Solidarias Non Stop already has a date: Sunday, November 8, from 9:00 to 15:00 hours, on a 1.5-kilometre circuit that runs through the interior and surroundings of the Centro Comercial Torrecárdenas. The event is organised by the Fundación Jesús Peregrín and everything raised will go to boys and girls affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia.

Run, walk or come and go whenever you like

The format is flexible and non-competitive. Each participant can run or walk during the six hours the event lasts, adapting the effort to their possibilities, and can join the circuit, rest and re-enter as many times as they want. The organisation invites people to take part alone, with family or with pets. There will be entertainment, children's workshops and prizes for the schools that gather the most participants. The Centro Comercial Torrecárdenas will donate one euro for every lap the participants complete.

How much it costs and how to sign up

Registration costs 10 euros for under-14s and 15 euros for young people and adults. There is also the dorsal cero option, designed for anyone who wants to contribute money without attending the day. All the information and access to registration are on the charity race page.

The goal: beating last year's 1,500

The councillor for Ciudad Activa, Movilidad Urbana y Deporte, Antonio Casimiro, has said that the goal of this edition is to beat the 1,500 people registered last year and reach 2,000. Casimiro has stressed that the event "turns physical activity into a tool for cooperation and help for those who need it most". The president of the foundation, Jesús Peregrín, aged one hundred, has explained where the aid will go: "this year our steps want to reach Colombia and Venezuela, where the Misioneros Salesianos need our help". He specifically mentioned Casa Bosconia, in the Colombian city of Buenaventura. The deputy for Igualdad y Familia, Lorena Nieto, has indicated that the Diputación is once again collaborating with the initiative and has stated that "when we talk about this race, we talk about much more than sport". The Fundación Jesús Peregrín, created in 2003, works on international cooperation projects: supply of medicines and healthcare infrastructure, construction of schools, food distribution and access to drinking water. The T-shirt for this seventh edition was presented in the press room of the Ayuntamiento with Casimiro, Nieto, Peregrín and the entity's vice-president, Bienvenido Fernández, in attendance.
