The Sala Jayrán of the Centro de Interpretación Patrimonial (CIP) hosts from Tuesday, October 20 the photography exhibition 'El Teatro de la Calle', organized by the Colectivo Fotográfico Desencuadre. The show brings together 27 works and can be visited until November 14 in this space located in the Plaza de la Administración Vieja.

A group born from a workshop

The photographs are the result of more than a year of work by a subgroup formed within the collective itself. As explained by Carlos de Paz, curator of the show, it is a work of humanist photography: images "very friendly, of society, with a certain irony at times and that the public likes very much". The origin of the group is in the intensive workshop 'El Jarabe de la calle', given a little more than a year ago by the French photographer Roland Laboye, linked to Almería through the IMAGINA project. From that experience the work team emerged, to which other Desencuadre members interested in delving deeper into humanist photography later joined. Since then, the group meets monthly to share images, analyze works and discuss what it means to photograph people and their environment.

Four exhibitions a year

De Paz has thanked the Ayuntamiento for its collaboration with the collective over the years, which has made it possible to develop the Revista-D and these four annual exhibitions in the Sala Jayrán. The concejal de Cultura y Museos, Joaquín Pérez de la Blanca, has inaugurated the show together with the president of the collective, Marina Rodríguez, the curator himself and other members of the group. The edil has stated that the exhibition offers "images of a humanist nature that give some brushstrokes about the different sensibilities, human appreciations and visions that each person has".
