Plaza Pablo Cazard hosts on Saturday, October 24, at 12.00 hours, the show 'W.C.', by Lapso Producciones & David Cebrián. It is the third of the four dates of the Andalusian festival Sur Escena in Almería. Entry is free until full capacity is reached, so there is no need to register or buy a ticket: just go to the venue before the performance begins.
Circus, clown and theatre for all audiences
The production mixes circus, clown and theatre. According to its creators, it is «a non-scatological one-act comedy for wáter closet and clown», in which the audience watches a man who finds his independence and becomes emancipated in a place suited to his means.
The story follows a 48-year-old man who manages to buy a home and become independent. At the estate agency they have told him it is small and old, but with charm, open-plan and with a good bathroom. The best thing about the house is the bathroom; the worst, too. The show is performed without words, with images and surprising elements, and is intended for all audiences.
The other dates of the festival
Sur Escena is a programme of the Consejería de Cultura, Patrimonio Histórico y Deporte, managed by the Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales, which coordinates the start of the stage season in Andalusia with a shared programme in the eight provincial capitals. In Almería it has the collaboration of the Área de Cultura, Educación, Museos y Tradiciones del Ayuntamiento.
The first two dates were 'El pintor y la modelo', on October 11, and 'Ética para pollos', on the 18, both at the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía (CAF). The last will be on October 31 at 22.00 hours, again at the CAF, with 'Mariposas de carretera'. During October, Andalusian companies offer theatre, dance, circus, clown, live arts and shows for children and young people.
How to attend
The date is Saturday, October 24, at 12.00 hours at Plaza Pablo Cazard. There is no need to book or pay: access is free until full capacity is reached, so it is advisable to arrive early.
