Almería's five cemeteries are open from this Friday, October 30, until Monday, November 2, with uninterrupted hours, from 9.00 to 18.00. The largest reinforcement is concentrated at San José and Santa Adela, which adds ten assistants to attend to the public and for cleaning and disinfection tasks. At Cabo de Gata, El Alquián, La Cañada and Cuevas de los Medinas there is one assistant assigned to each. At the main cemetery, the North, South and Side doors are enabled for entry and exit. In addition, a free electric vehicle accompanies people inside the grounds who need it, especially people with reduced mobility.

Classical music and bus to the door

On Sunday, November 1, from 11.00 to 12.00 and from 12.30 to 13.30, Valkiria String, with Iris Electric Chelo and Nadia Violín, offers live classical music at San José and Santa Adela. To get there, Surbús extends the route of lines 2 (Centro-Torrecárdenas) and 3 (Nueva Almería-Torrecárdenas) to the cemetery on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, between 8.30 and 18.30, when they head toward the Hospital Universitario Torrecárdenas. Stop 19 (Carretera de Huércal, 24) and stop 20 (Carretera de Huércal, 56) are out of service; the nearest are 423 (Avenida del Mediterráneo-Colegio Europa) and 24 (Asociación de Vecinos La Torre). Line 18 (Torrecárdenas-Costacabana) keeps the Saturday schedule on the 31st, with a frequency of 22 minutes, and on Sunday the 1st it leaves from Oliveros with reinforcements between 8.30 and 17.30. The Policía Local monitors traffic with a permanent presence at San José and on a roving basis at the rest of the cemeteries.
