The University of Almería campus hosts the XII Mediterranean Organic Chemistry Meeting (REQOMED), an event held every two years that in this edition brings together more than one hundred experts in organic chemistry.
The programme covers organic synthesis, catalysis, supramolecular chemistry, drug design and discovery, functional materials, photochemistry, natural products and biological chemistry, and includes almost twenty lectures, six plenary and twelve invited, as well as oral, flash and poster communications.
The congress was inaugurated by the rector of the University of Almería, José J. Céspedes.
