As of November 4, the AlmeríaYa agenda already brings together 404 events for this month in Almería and its province: concerts, theatre, exhibitions, sport, fiestas and plans with children, all in one place and with filters to find yours.
Concerts, theatre, cinema, exhibitions, talks, workshops, matches, street markets, village fiestas, storytelling... What is organised in Almería is spread across dozens of websites, social media and posters. The AlmeríaYa agenda brings them together on a single page so you don't have to go from one to another.
As of November 4 there are 404 events in the agenda for this month: 197 in the capital and the rest in some 60 towns across the province. Among them there are 137 concerts and 38 theatre plays, and at least 35 are free. For December there are already 142 and for January, 72, and the figures grow every day as organisers publish their programmes.
All in one place
The idea is simple: that anyone who wants to know what to do in Almería finds it all in one place, whatever the type and whoever organises it. Every day we read the agendas of town councils, the Diputación, theatres, auditoriums, concert venues, museums, libraries, the university, brotherhoods, associations and organisers, and we bring each event to the agenda with its date, its time, its venue and its price.
If the same plan appears on several websites, it appears only once. And each listing says where the information comes from, with a link to the original, so you can check it.
How to view it
The agenda is at almeriaya.com/agenda. At the top there is a strip with the coming days and how many plans there are on each: you tap a day and see what's on. Below, today's, tomorrow's and the following days' plans, in order, and separately what stays open for several weeks, such as exhibitions.
There are also pages made for the usual questions:
With the Filters button you can refine the search, and the filters combine with each other:
—When: today, tomorrow, the weekend, the week, the month or everything coming up. If you're looking for a specific day, there's Specific date.
—Category: music, theatre, cinema, culture, exhibitions, sports, children's, family, training, conferences, fiestas... Next to each one it shows how many plans it has.
—Where: the whole province, just the capital or a specific town, for example in Roquetas de Mar, El Ejido or Vélez-Rubio.
—Keyword: type «flamenco», «jazz», «hiking» or the name of an artist.
—Audience and Organiser: to search by who it's aimed at or who prepares it.
—Free events only: leaves only what costs nothing.
The filters stay in the page address, so you can save it or send it to someone with the search already done. And Clear removes them all at once.
With children, free or at night
To go out with the little ones there's Plans with children, which gathers children's shows, workshops, storytelling and activities designed for families. You can go further with the Children's or Family category, or by typing «children's» or «family» in the Audience filter.
If you don't want to spend, see Free plans, with everything with free entry. And for after dinner, Night plans, with what starts from eight o'clock.
The listing for each plan
Tapping a plan opens its listing: what it is, when and where it is, how much it costs, who organises it and who it's aimed at. From it you can see how to get there on the map, add it to your calendar on your phone, share it and open the organiser's website or buy tickets when there are any.
And if you'd rather have the plans come to you, below the agenda you can sign up with your email to receive the weekend's plans every Thursday.
Do you organise something? Propose it
If you organise an event in Almería or in the province, or you know of one that isn't there, you can send it from Propose a plan. Just say what it is, what day, at what time, where, who organises it, whether it's free and a website or social media where to see it. We review it before publishing it. Proposing it is free.
It also helps us if you write to [redaccion@almeriaya.com](mailto:redaccion@almeriaya.com) with the poster or the programme.
Have you seen a mistake?
With so many events, some may change time, venue or be cancelled. If you see a detail that doesn't add up, write to us at [hola@almeriaya.com](mailto:hola@almeriaya.com) or by WhatsApp from the contact page. Tell us which plan you saw it in, better with its link, and we'll correct it. A person reads it.
